About Setara
Setara has worked in the fashion industry for over a decade and has traveled the world working as a stylist for photo shoots. Having been to almost all of the world’s high-fashion cities she has a global perspective on the best styles. Setara’s styling services are distinguished in that she is foremost an artist and is highly educated in the arts. She completed her Masters Degree in Communication Design at Central St. Martins one of the world’s most prestigious art schools. When asked what sets her services apart from the typical “self taught” stylist Setara states: “Fashion is subjective and always changing, I use it as a basis when developing an individual's image however I always call on my experience as an artist. I work with my clients as though I am painting a canvas. I define the individual and their frame relative to the space around them and then I dress them to make a masterpiece. I strategically add highlights and accessories, and I recall the relationships and psychology of colors.”
Setara’s formal fashion experience and training has been honed while working at both Elle and Glamour magazines. Setara’s sense of style and appreciation of high fashion translated into her working as an image consultant to high profile clients such as television personalities that regularly appear on Channel 4, E4, and MTV channels. “I love working with individuals and getting to know their self perception and psyche. I listen intently to what my clients tell me and then translate their goals into both their wardrobe and their new image. Working for publications you are simply putting clothes on a model whereas working as an image consultant I get a chance to directly affect my clients image and more importantly how they feel about themselves,” says Setara.
Setara has developed more than just an eye for fashion. She enjoys being a fashionista but more importantly she takes pride in offering the best knowledge and services to her clients. Setara draws inspiration from numerous progressive fashion publications and is constantly researching and staying ahead of the fashion curve. Since relocating from London to New York she has made it her mission to discover all the best designers and boutiques and to be abreast of all the fashion related activities and events that the city has to offer.
